Adjusting to college life on both academic and personal levels can seem overwhelming to many students. It is a time of change for young women, and the sorority is uniquely positioned to assist our sisters in positively meeting new challenges and offering support and encouragement.  That's why successful completion of scholastics is a necessity for every student. The importance of education is reflected in the first of our national goals and for this reason, the AIM program was established.

What is the AIM Program?

Created in the Fall 2007, Corazones Unidos Siempre/Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. began its Academic Improvement Mentorship (AIM) Program.  This program was created to address the issue of academic performance among our undergraduate population. AIM ensures that our undergraduate members’ needs are identified and addressed in a timely manner.  The main focus of the program is to help undergraduate members improve their GPAs. The program functions by pairing an undergraduate who is not meeting our academic requirements with an alumna, who serves as a mentor and tutor.  The AIM program assists sisters who may develop an academic barrier.  Simply stated, the Academic Improvement Mentorship Program is a valuable, enriching tool in the preparation, retention, graduation, and success of all members.  The success rate and feedback of the program thus far has been outstanding.

AIM is also one of the many ways the Alumna of Chi Upsilon Sigma give back. Sisterhood, support, and encouragement continue well after your undergraduate years. The mentorship program is a way to lend a helping hand or just strengthen the bonds between sisters.

Mission Statement

The mission of the A.I.M. program is to help undergraduate sisters improve their grades and remain academically active (2.5 or higher for semester prior and cumulative GPA).

Goal Statement

To reduce the percentage of undergraduates who are academically inactive or on academic probation.
