Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority Inc. ® Se7en Region 1 to Perform in the 2014 Battle for New York Stroll Off

SEVENNew York, NY (08/01/14)- Se7en Region 1 performance team will be competing in the New York Greek Picnic’s Battle for New York Stroll Off on Saturday August 2, 2014.  This free event will take place at Fort Green Park in Brooklyn, NY (Dekalb Ave. between Washington Park & Edwards St. at the Monument) at 2:00 PM.  

The agents are back at it again, trying to advance through three competitive knockout rounds.  The best of the best strollers from NALFO, NMGC and NPHC Greek Councils are going to battle for a five foot trophy and $1,000 grand prize.

With dedication, hard work and innovative creativity, the team is ready to perform at the top quality level that Se7en is known for.  All Sisters, family and friends are encouraged to attend to show their support of the team and our sisterhood which they represent.

Chi Upsilon Sigma ® has been in existence since April 29, 1980, incepted on the New Brunswick Campus of Rutgers – the State University of New Jersey. Our founders are 7 Latinas who had the desire to create an organization to promote leadership among the Latino community and our membership has since grown to incorporate women of all ethnicities. Chi Upsilon Sigma has devoted itself to increasing awareness amongst ourselves, and our communities about important political, social, cultural, and educational issues and servicing the communities around us.


NALFO (National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations) is an umbrella council for Latino Greek Letter Organizations. The purpose of NALFO is to promote and foster positive interfraternal relations, communication, and development of all Latino Fraternal organizations through mutual respect, leadership, honesty, professionalism and education.
